Greissle discusses how his work as an editor at Schirmer's led to his first meeting with Stokowski for a discussion of Stokowski's orchestrations; his involvement in Stokowski's premiere performance of Schoenberg's concerto for piano with Eduard Steuermann as soloist; and Schoenberg's and his own opinion of Stokowski's recording of Schoenberg's Gurrelieder, which was the first recording made of the work. He also mentions Toscanini, Nikisch, and the reviewer Olin Downes.
